Absolutely! We understand that schedules fluctuate, so we've created flexible sessions, so you only pay for what you use. When you purchase a session package with us, you are paying for a set number of classes to be used within that specified 2- to 50-week time frame, so feel free to mix and match class times/locations however it is most convenient for you before your session expires. If you have extenuating health issues and your doctor will not allow you to exercise for a specific length of time, contact us immediately about putting your membership on hold. A doctor's note is required in such cases.

We meet at various outdoor locations in Long Beach and the surrounding areas, so check out our calendar page for specific dates and locations.

Of course! All our classes EXCEPT for the Mommy Fit Camp classes meet rain or shine, so bring on those weather-friendly clothes and let’s have some fun! The workouts are modified to be weather-friendly, but you'll still get a fun, creative challenge for the day.

Please note: If your class normally meets at Whaley Park, the meeting place varies depending on the weather, so check the yard sign in the center divider on Atherton St. to see which half of the park we are meeting on. (Generally, if it is raining, we'll meet on the south side of the street near the recreation center, and if it is clear, we'll meet on the north side near the cement picnic table.) Our Recreation Park and Signal Hill meeting places are the same rain or shine.

Our classes are designed to challenge you at your own level, so we offer different versions of our activities so you can find the right one for you. Whether you are nursing an old injury or just out of practice, we can help you find YOUR best workout.

Please let us know immediately so we can advise you on how to modify the exercises for your body. We can help you strengthen that area once you’re ready, but you have to tell us so we can help.

Sure – we offer a 1 day/week option for those who want to compliment their current program or just want to start slow. We recommend 2- to 3-times per week for new exercisers to establish good habits and maximize results, but if you are on the fence, feel free to contact us directly so we can help you find the best option for you.

You can bring any friend to try one class FREE, and if they decide to come back and purchase a 4-week session package or longer, you'll receive a 10% discount per friend who joins on your next session package purchase for helping us spread the word! So if 2 friends join, you'll receive 20% off, if 3 receive 30% off... if 10 or more friends join, your next session is free! Discount not valid with any other offer.

We currently only offer classes in Long Beach and Signal Hill (see calendar page for class times and locations). We welcome teens and adults from 12 years and up in our classes. Minors under the age of 18 must have a signed consent form to participate - please contact emily [at] southbayfitcamp [dot] com for details.
Your baby can attend class anywhere from 6 weeks old and up. Infants should have adequate neck support in their stroller. Generally, if your baby or toddler is content in a moving stroller for 1 hour, you should have no problem participating in class.
Your baby is your first priority. Please feel free to stop and nurse, feed, change and soothe your baby whenever necessary. Don’t worry about “bothering” other class participants - no one understands better than we do!
Absolutely - all our classes are created with your safety in mind. We rely on your communication to show you how to modify exercises for YOUR body, and achieve your goals without the risk of injury. We recommend meeting with one of our instructors for periodic fitness assessments (free of charge) to track your progress and address your individual goals and concerns - call 562-243-2221 to schedule an appointment. Pregnant women may participate throughout their pregnancy with their physician’s approval. Moms must be at least 6 weeks postpartum to participate; 8 weeks postpartum for c-section. Consult with your doctor before starting any exercise program.
