are you a double-dipper?
You think you eat well, but those stubborn pounds keep hanging on. Time to take a look at your snacks – are you having nuts for both your morning and afternoon snacks? Do you keep that bag of peanut butter pretzels in your desk drawer and munch all day long?
Time to impose a new rule: no double-dipping! Simply put, you need to vary your snacks and meals to make sure you are getting the nutrients you need – and the variety your body craves. Almonds for morning snack means an apple with hummus in the afternoon, or a small bowl of broth based soup. If you had cereal for breakfast, it can’t be your dinner – go find some vegetables and lean protein to munch on instead. Cheese on your sandwich at lunch? Leave it off your salad at dinner time and opt for avocado. You may be creatively challenged at first, but the pay-off is worth it: a more well-rounded diet, and a happier waistline.
